Harmony in Habitat
Planting New Roots On The Web
Can we have a clean environment and energized economy? Our partners at the American Conservation Coalition know how it can be done: by empowering young people who are tired of partisan inaction and equipping them to leave a legacy rooted in effective environmental action.
In support of ACC’s mission and their team’s strong vision, we were proud to give them design and development to educate, coordinate, and activate passionate young Americans with a new digital habitat on acc.eco.
Our trail marker for success included using nature-focused design and robust technology to connect young people toward commonsense, pro-innovation conservation. The result is a visually appealing, highly flexible homepage that encourages users to become a member, engage with ACC’s latest content, and learn more about ACC’s impact:
The site design further affirmed ACC’s mission and values through organic-feeling colors, shapes, and iconography:
Other fun features include vibrantly integrating Climate Commitment––originally a separate website––into acc.eco, showcasing ACC’s member locations from sea to shining sea, and broadcasting ACC’s rich content library.
In tandem with ACC’s work, ACC Action is mobilizing thousands of young Americans to put the “conserve” in conservative. It only made sense that our emphasis on eye-catching eco design and inviting user experience extended to ACC’s sister site, accaction.eco, to help supercharge grassroots impact:
We used AI tools to add motion to what otherwise would have been static images (a fun little AI “first” for our web services). The subtle and elegant movement mimics light poking through tree leaves on a sunny day, but we all agree that Mother Nature does it best.
